Chino Residents Invited to Provide Input on Local Hazard Mitigation Plan

CHINO, CA (March 6, 2025) -- The City of Chino is seeking public input on the draft update to the Local Hazard Mitigation Plan (LHMP). We invite you to review and make your voice heard on an important document that outlines actions and steps that the City can take to reduce negative impacts on residents, businesses, and the community at large.

Local Hazard Mitigation Plans are guidelines that serve as roadmaps for communities like Chino to reduce adverse impacts from natural and human-caused disasters or hazards.

Community feedback is essential to the process, and your local knowledge and perspectives are vital in crafting a Plan that addresses and reflect the diverse needs of the Chino community.

How to participate:

The public review is open from now until Thursday, April 3. All comments received will be reviewed and considered for possible inclusion in the LHMP. Afterward, the updated plan will be submitted to state and federal emergency management agencies and presented to the Chino City Council for adoption.
