City of Chino Accepting Applications for Community Services, Parks & Recreation Commission 

CHINO, CA (April 11, 2025) -- Want to make a difference in your community? The City of Chino is currently accepting applications to serve on the Community Services, Parks & Recreation Commission for three (3) seats for terms that will begin on July 1, 2025.  

 

Each position is for four (4) years through June 30, 2029. Current incumbents on the Commission whose terms end on June 30, 2025, are eligible to apply for an additional term.  

 

The Community Services, Parks & Recreation Commission is a seven-member board that advises the City Council and the Community Services, Parks & Recreation Department on issues that contribute to improving the quality of life in Chino. These issues are focused on Recreation, Human Services, Parks, and Open Space. 

 

The Mayor appoints all seven members of the Commission with the approval of the Chino City Council. Terms are for four years, on a rotating basis. 

 

Applicants must be residents of the City of Chino and must submit a completed application form by Friday, May 2, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. to the City Clerk's office at 13220 Central Avenue, 2nd Floor Administration, Chino, CA 91710 or by email to CityClerk@cityofchino.org. Community Services, Parks & Recreation Commission meetings are held on the fourth Monday of every month at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Chino City Hall, 13220 Central Avenue, Chino, CA 91710. Occasional workshops and tours are held as required.
