City of Chino Welcomes Second New Annexation of 2024 to the Community

CHINO, CA (December 12, 2024) -- The City of Chino is excited to announce the annexation of approximately 145 acres of land that includes 120 parcels along the northern border of the City limits, a significant step in Chino's continued growth and development.

The newest part of the City of Chino (seen in red on the above map) centers on Ramona Avenue and Mustang Road, from Philadelphia Street to the south to just north of Ramona Avenue. The area, which used to be unincorporated San Bernardino County land, was officially annexed into the City of Chino on November 25.

“This second annexation of 2024 represents another milestone in Chino's continued dedication to smart growth," said Chino Mayor Eunice Ulloa. "On behalf of the City Council and the entire City of Chino, we are thrilled to welcome these new residents into our community, and we look forward to ensuring they receive access to the quality services and resources that Chino is known for.”

The parcels added to the City include 117 single-family homes, representing roughly 375 people. The area is mostly residential, with additional agricultural, religious, and commercial uses.

This newest annexation follows a previous annexation on October 9, when Chino welcomed 65 acres of land along East End Avenue into the City limits, including the Scott Bros. Dairy production facility that has operated since 1961.

As Chino continues to expand, the City remains dedicated to providing quality services and public safety initiatives to support these residents and businesses who now call Chino home.
