CHINO, CA (February 27, 2024) -- Here’s your once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own a piece of Chino history: decommissioned City of Chino street signs will be available for purchase during the second annual Chino Days festival on Saturday, March 16, and Sunday, March 17 at the Neighborhood Activity Center, located at 5201 D Street.
Over 2,300 signs that once adorned streets throughout Chino will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Signs range from small to large and include vintage signs from Chino's early days.
Prices range from $40 for 24x6, 24x9, 30x6, and 30x9 signs; $80 for 32x9, 36x6, and 36x9 signs; $110 for 42x6 and 48x9 signs, and $160 for vintage signs of various sizes.
Every dollar raised from the street sign sale will benefit the Chino Youth Museum and its continued programming of world-class events, exhibits, and classes for children and families across the Chino Valley. The Chino Youth Museum is a nonprofit organization largely funded by donations and sponsors.
Signs can only be purchased by credit card, and no cash or checks will be accepted. All sales are final. Residents can purchase multiple signs but not of the same street.
If signs are still left after Chino Days, they will be available for purchase at the Neighborhood Activity Center on Monday, March 18, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from Tuesday, March 19 to Friday, March 22, during regular business hours.
