CHINO, CA (March 31, 2025) -- Mayor Eunice Ulloa, the Chino City Council, dignitaries, and community members from across the Chino Valley officially welcomed Chino Rancho Park during a grand opening ceremony on Saturday, March 29. 

Chino Rancho Park, located at 5325 Phillips Boulevard, is Chino’s first City-built public park in 20 years. The new park features a fully inclusive playground for children of all ages and abilities, the City’s first pickleball courts, an outdoor exercise area, a walking path, and a farmhouse theme that pays tribute to Chino’s early days as an agricultural community. 

Mayor Ulloa and the City Council were joined by Congresswoman Norma Torres, State Senator Susan Rubio, and San Bernardino County Supervisor Curt Hagman at the grand opening event. During the ceremony, Mayor Ulloa presented a special plaque to the California Conservation Corps for their assistance in building Chino Rancho Park. 

"The opening of Chino Rancho Park reaffirms our City’s commitment to providing beautiful recreational spaces for everyone in our community,” said Mayor Eunice Ulloa. “Parks are the beating heart of any city—they are where families gather, where children play, and where our neighbors connect and enjoy the outdoors. I look forward to this park being loved by our community and want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our City staff, the California Conservation Corps, and everyone who had a hand in making Chino Rancho Park possible.” 

Chino Rancho Park was made possible through a $2.8 million grant from the Prop 68 Statewide Park Development and Community Revitalization Program under the California Department of Parks and Recreation, $1 million in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds from San Bernardino County Supervisor Curt Hagman, and $1.6 million from the City’s park fund.
