CHINO, CA (September 18, 2025) -- The first cohort of the City of Chino’s CORE Academy graduated on Thursday, September 11, becoming the first group of Chino residents to officially become Chino CORE Ambassadors. 

The 25 participants completed six weeks of hands-on resident engagement courses that offered an exclusive look into the inner workings of City government and the dedicated professionals who serve our community each day. Throughout the Academy, participants received an inside look at all City Departments. 

“On behalf of the City of Chino, I want to congratulate our first group of Chino CORE Ambassadors,” said Chino Mayor Eunice Ulloa. “With the knowledge gained from this course, these residents are now empowered to share what they’ve learned, strengthen neighborhood connections, and serve as true partners in building an even stronger Chino. Their commitment to engaging with City government reflects the neighborly spirit that makes Chino such a special place to live.” 

CORE (Chino Outreach and Resident Engagement) is a free, six-week course, with each weekly session including a presentation from a City Department, interactive discussions, Q&A opportunities, and a full dinner. Participants also enjoy an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Chino Police Department.
