Chino Teen Center Reopens

Offering Programs, Resources, and

Shuttling Services

It’s the start of a new school year, which means the beloved Chino Experience Teen Center (Teen Center) is open for students to enjoy as of Monday, August 7, 2023. Located at 13196 Monte Vista Avenue, the Teen Center welcomes Chino Valley Unified School District (CVUSD) teens enrolled in grades 7 to 12 to join the fun, make new friends, and participate in enriching activities as they begin the academic year.

The Teen Center offers a wide range of supervised programs and activities designed to foster personal growth, friendship, and skill development. From arts and crafts to cooking, sports, educational workshops, and opportunities to volunteer with the Teen Opportunity Program (TOP), teens can discover new interests and cultivate their talents while building lasting connections with peers.

Teens can also witness their Teen Advisory Committee (TAC) peers in action at the monthly committee meetings. TAC exists to identify youth-related issues as they relate to programs or projects in the City of Chino and recommends potential solutions to the Community Services, Parks & Recreation Commission. One of the Teen Center's most valuable resources is the Chino College and Career Resource Center. Dedicated staff are ready to assist teens in exploring post-secondary education options, mapping out career paths, and providing support for achieving their academic and vocational goals.

Membership to the Teen Center is priced at $7 per month to ensure that it remains accessible to all Chino teens. The center operates during school days, providing a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for students to socialize and learn during after-school hours.

To make it easier for students to participate in the various programs and activities offered at the Teen Center, shuttling services are available on CVUSD school days for students attending Chino High School, Don Lugo High School, Magnolia Jr. High, Ramona Jr. High, or 7th and 8th grade at Briggs Fundamental School for an additional $30 per month for registered participants. This service provides convenient transportation before and after school between the Teen Center and listed school sites. Shuttle Services require in-person registration at the Neighborhood Activity Center located at 5201 D Street.

The Chino Experience Teen Center is excited to reopen its doors and provide an exceptional experience for the youth of Chino. Join us for a positive start to the new school year, filled with fun, growth, and friendship!
