City of Chino Veterans Day Ceremony and

City Facilities Closures

The City of Chino will be hosting its annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Saturday, November 11 at 11 a.m. Residents and all members of the Chino community are invited to attend this ceremony honoring those who served our nation. The event will take place at the Chino Liberty Courtyard of the Chino Community Building, located at 5443 B Street.

The Chino Liberty Courtyard, which was dedicated on November 11, 2016, features five pillars as a salute to each branch of the U.S. military. The Courtyard also provides a solemn space for military members, their families, and the public to honor and remember those who have served our country.

The ceremony includes the presentation of each of the flags of the five branches of the military by a representative Chino military family. A guest speaker will provide an inspirational address on the importance of Veterans Day and the contributions of our veterans. Visit www.cityofchino.org/events for additional information about the ceremony. For information on resources available to veterans, visit https://www.cityofchino.org/363/Military.

With the exception of the Senior Center, please note that City of Chino facilities, including Chino City Hall, will be closed on Friday, November 10 in observance of the Veterans Day holiday. City facilities will reopen on Monday, November 13. The Chino Senior Center will be open on Friday, November 10 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

In the event of a utility emergency during the holiday or after regular work hours, call the Chino Police Dispatch Center at 909-628-1234 to have City personnel respond. Trash, recycling, and street sweeping service schedules are not impacted by the holiday.
