City of Chino Invites Public Input on Final Draft ADA Transition Plan

The City of Chino has completed the final draft of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan. This Plan is a crucial step towards enhancing accessibility and inclusivity in our community. Its primary focus is on identifying and prioritizing the removal of barriers that affect access to the City’s programs, services, and activities.

The Plan offers a detailed assessment of barriers within City buildings and parks, City programs, policies, procedures, and pedestrian facilities in public rights-of-way. Developed in collaboration with Bureau Veritas Technical Assessments, LLC, this federally mandated ADA Transition Plan will serve as a strategic guide for improvements, ensuring that Chino’s facilities and services are accessible to all, especially those with disabilities.

The Final Draft ADA Title II Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan is now available for public review on the City’s website. We strongly encourage community members to review the Plan and share their valuable feedback. Your input is vital in our ongoing efforts to create a more inclusive city.

Public Feedback Period:

  • Access the Plan: The Plan is available on the City website at www.cityofchino.org/adaplan.
  • Share Your Feedback: The comment period begins on December 21, 2023 and ends on January 27, 2024 at 5:30 PM. Please send your questions, comments, or feedback to Lisa Almilli, Accessibility Coordinator, at [email protected] or call (909) 334-3524.

We look forward to your participation and insights as we strive to make Chino a community where everyone has equal access and opportunity.
