City Manager's Message: In Case You Missed It
This Monday, City Manager Chris Boyd shared the following statement:

Dear Citrus Heights Residents,

I want you to know that your City Councilmembers, officials, and staff are in constant contact with our local police department and regional officials. The City of Citrus Heights remains safe and our solid roots as a community once again prove that we can weather storms together.

City leaders all remain committed to our promise of serving the Citrus Heights community with professionalism and respect, while honoring and preserving the community’s rights to free speech. One of our top priorities as a City, from the very beginning of our incorporation, has been effectively serving public safety needs – this is unchanged.

Last night’s Citrus Heights police reports show criminal activity unrelated to protests, and I am proud of our Police Department’s continuous demonstration of responsive, thoughtful crime prevention and public safety.

I am also proud of our Citrus Heights community that continues to show compassion and respect in the midst of current events. Know that as City officials and staff stay committed to your public safety, we will continue to be a part of regional and state-wide conversations to advocate for the priorities of our community. Our team will continue to keep the community updated on important information.

Please stay safe and steadfast in the compassion I’ve seen demonstrated in our community in so many ways over these past few months.

Sincerely,
Chris Boyd
City Manager
COVID-19 Senior Resources
We have added a new page to the COVID-19 section of the City's website. Our new Senior Resources COVID-19 page is intended to help connect seniors to services they need, like our free meals program, links to free COVID-19 testing, and more. While our City moves further in California's Resilience Roadmap, we want to make sure out at-risk population stays safe! Visit www.CitrusHeights.net/1055 to learn more.
Resilience and Recovery in Citrus Heights
The health and safety of residents is our top priority — the City is committed to keeping you and your family safe. As we plan for our City's recovery, it is more important than ever that we hear from our residents regarding their priorities.

After receiving more than 1,500 survey responses on community priorities, we have adjusted our survey to reflect the top 6 priorities. Please click the button below to weigh-in on these, and provide write-ins for other items.

Citrus Heights + Love Local
As our local restaurants and businesses work to meet the State and County requirements for re-opening, the City's Economic Development Division has committed to helping in meaningful ways. The team has helped local business owners by:
  • Hosting Q&A webinars with the City's Small Business Development Center partners to answer local business owner questions about financial options, PPP, and more.
  • Creating a Business Roadmap page, to summarize what the County and State orders mean for businesses here in Citrus Heights.
  • Partnering with the Citrus Heights Police Department to distribute free masks to local employers. (Click here for more information!)
  • Continuing the Love Local campaign to encourage the community to shop local.
  • Continuously updating the COVID-19 Business Resources page and our new business newsletter with the latest information.
  • Launching a survey to hear from local businesses about all the impacts COVID-19 has had on our businesses. This survey is helping City staff learn what areas need the most support, and how we can best advocate at the local, State, and Federal level for Citrus Heights businesses.

We hope our residents are just as excited as we are about shopping local while remaining safe! With the latest County Public Health Ord er amendment, we have started to see businesses like retail, salons, dine-in restaurants, and more re-open in Citrus Heights. Please follow the recommended guidelines below as a customer...
  • Stay at home if you are not feeling well.
  • Keep staying home as much as possible is you are a member of the at-risk population.
  • Maintain social distancing of 6 feet when you're out.
  • Wear a face covering when social distancing is not possible.
  • Practice good hand hygiene to prevent and reduce spread of the virus.
