Dear Clermont community,

We hope that you and your loved ones are staying safe and healthy. This is a challenging time for families, employees and businesses in Clermont and around the world. The coronavirus (COVID-19) has brought unprecedented changes and interruptions to all of our daily lives. Every day brings uncertainty as we face the unknown and find our "new normal."

But here's what we do know: The Clermont community is strong. We are Champions of resilience, kindness and hope. And together, we can be Champions of slowing the spread of this terrible virus.
COVID-19: Latest Updates

Here's an excerpt of the city's timeline of actions and announcements from our COVID-19 webpage .

  • The closure of all city facilities, including parks, was extended through April 30, subject to change, based on the stay-at-home executive order issued by Gov. Ron DeSantis.
  • The City of Clermont Boat Ramp closed April 2 until further notice. 
  • All events and programs at city facilities are canceled until May 11, subject to change.

How many coronavirus (COVID-19) cases are in Clermont?
A: Twenty-six Clermont residents ( 10 a.m. April 3 report ) and 85 total people in Lake County ( 11 a.m. April 3 report ) have tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19), according to the Florida Department of Health. We are sad to share that the first two deaths in Lake County from COVID-19 have been reported. Lake County stats: Residents: 78, Non-Residents: 7, Age Range: 18 to 86, Men: 40, Women: 45, Deaths: 2, Hospitalizations: 14. City-level data can be found by scrolling to "See the Report" here . How can I pay my utility bill?
A: We prefer that you pay online  here . However, you can still drop off your check (no cash) in the regular drop slot on the south (parking lot) side of City Hall, 685 W. Montrose St. any time. We will pick up and process all hand-delivered payments daily.

The following road closure notice recently went out:

The stretch of Osceola Street between 8th Street and the entrance of Lilly's on the Lake will be closed starting Mon., March 30 for approximately three weeks; we will be upgrading stormwater and sanitary lines as part of the Master Plan's streetscape project. To access businesses on Osceola Street, please use West Avenue. The intersections of Osceola Street and both 7th and 8th streets remain closed for the final stages of construction, such as landscaping and irrigation. Thanks for your patience while we improve your downtown.

  • Writing: Write a poem or essay about someone you see as a Champion. Send a thank-you letter just because.
  • Wellness: Get creative with at-home workouts. (Dance party, anyone?) Try a meditation from online.
  • Photography: Set up a photo shoot of your furry friends. Snap the perfect sunset. Play around with your camera settings.
  • Arts and Crafts: Time to get out the coloring books, Legos, scrapbooking, you name it. Make a window display that spreads good vibes to passersby.
  • Home Projects: Fix it, organize it or give it away. Now's the time.
