Master Plan Updates

The City of Clermont is delivering on its promises with its award-winning Master Plan. We share frequent updates at www.ClermontFL.gov/MasterPlan , but here are some highlights:

  • Kehlor Recreation Center is complete. Clermont's city council and city manager celebrated with a ribbon cutting Nov. 15; view the video recap here. The new senior facility, located on the east side of downtown, now offers a variety of fun activities; view the schedule here.

  • The Boat Ramp is under construction with plans to open by January 2020. The new, larger boat ramp will be located just east of Waterfront Park, freeing up space for the expansion of VIctory Pointe. The rerouted trail has been completed.

  • The Art Walk will break ground in 2020 with an estimated completion by the end of 2020. The brick walkway will connect Montrose Street to Minneola Avenue and will feature a covered portion and a grassy, open-air space for vendor tents.

  • City Limit Gateway Features are completed on State Road 50 at its intersections with Lake Boulevard to the east and with 12th Street to the west.

  • The Clermont Wi-Fi Trail is live in limited locations along the South Lake Trail. In 2020, the coverage area may expand to the waterfront trail and the downtown core.

  • Victory Pointe, the first major project completed, is successfully being utilized as an event site, park and stormwater treatment facility. It will be expanded to maximize its potential once the boat ramp is moved. Here's why it won 2019 Best Small Project.
