Light Up Clermont 2020 Activities Announced

Join us for a fun lineup of activities with the theme Holiday Enchanted Forest: a Virtual Light Up Ceremony Dec. 4, a Cookies & Cocoa Walk Dec. 11 downtown, and a forest of trees at Victory Pointe Dec. 5 - Jan. 3, 2021.

Clermont City Manager Accepts New Position

Clermont City Manager Darren Gray accepted a new position as deputy county administrator for Orange County Government starting Dec. 14. City Council appointed Assistant City Manager Susan Dauderis as interim city manager upon his departure.
City Council Election Results Announced

The winners of the Nov. 3 election are Tim Murry (Seat 3 -- Mayor), incumbent Timothy Bates (Seat 1) and Michelle Pines (Seat 5).They will be sworn in at a special meeting 6:30 p.m. Tues., Nov. 17 in the Clermont City Center, 620 W. Montrose St. A runoff election will be held Tues., Jan. 5, 2021 for Seat 4.

City Enters Phase 3 of Reopening Plan

The Clermont Arts and Recreation Center, Kehlor Recreation Center and Highlander Pavilion reopened Nov. 9 for Phase 3 of the city's reopening plan. Council meetings will remain at the Clermont City Center through the end of 2020.

Lake County Accepting Resident Assistance Program Applications

Applications will be accepted through 11 p.m. Mon., Nov. 30. The program is funded by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act and will assist residents who have been negatively impacted by COVID-19.

Survey on Clermont Community Center Opens

The Lincoln Park South Lake Alliance is proposing a new community center in place of Clermont Elementary School, which will close in 2023. South Lake residents are asked to take this 2-minute survey by Nov. 30 to gauge interest.
