Florida Enters Phase 3 of Reopening Plan

Gov. Ron DeSantis announced that Florida entered Phase 3 of reopening, which allows restaurants, bars and shops to operate at full capacity. The City of Clermont will discuss its reopening plan at the Oct. 13 City Council meeting.

Early Voting is this Month

Early voting for the Nov. 3 general election takes place Oct. 19-31, and the vote-by-mail request deadline is Oct. 24. Four of the five Clermont City Council seats are on the ballot, including mayor. The Clermont Arts and Recreation Center is a new early voting location.

City of Clermont Opens New Walking Trails

Nature lovers are invited to explore two new walking trails at the Clermont Arts and Recreation Center, a half-mile and a 1-mile trail on natural terrain.

City's Light Up Clermont Wins Event Award

The City of Clermont was recently celebrated by the South Lake Chamber of Commerce as a 2020 South Lake Business Awards winner. The city won Best Local Special Event to Attend for Light Up Clermont.

Master Plan Updates

  • The Streetscapes Phase 2 Open House was held Oct. 1. Click here for a summary of the discussion. Phase 2 is scheduled for construction in 2021, brick paving 8th street and Minneola Avenue, adding parking and more.

  • The Art Walk's construction has reached substantial completion. The brick pedestrian pathway connects Montrose Street to Osceola Street.

Montrose Street Market Opens Downtown

Nine new businesses opened under one roof at Montrose Street Market, on the southeast corner of Montrose and 8th streets. “The city’s Master Plan investment in downtown has spurred private investment like never before,” Clermont City Manager Darren Gray said.

Olympus Selects CBRE for Land Sales

CBRE announced Oct. 1 that it has been selected by Olympus, a game-changing development project located in Clermont, to market parcels within the 243-acre master planned sports and wellness community and global destination.

Lake County residents are now eligible to buy an annual pass for $70 plus tax.

  • Champions Splash Park: 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. Fridays-Sundays
  • Clermont Arts and Rec Center Pool: Noon-5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays
