Tune in 10 a.m. Fri., Sept. 11 to the city’s YouTube or Facebook pages to watch speakers, musical performances and more from the safety of your home during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

“The City of Clermont is proud to present this virtual ceremony to pay tribute to all of the victims and heroes of 9/11,” Clermont City Manager Darren Gray said.

Early Voting Starts Next Month

Early voting for the general election takes place Oct. 19-31, and the vote-by-mail request deadline is Oct. 24.


Four people officially qualified to run for Clermont City Council Seat 4 in a special election to fill the seat for Heidi Brishke, who resigned Aug. 20 for personal reasons. Residents may vote for Seat 4 on the general election ballot, in addition to Seats 1, 3 (mayor) and 5.

Master Plan Updates

Art Walk (pictured above) construction is on track for completion before the year's end; all of the bricks have been laid. Plans are progressing for a variety of art to line the pathway. Improvements are being made to the adjacent parking lot.

Downtown Streetscape Phase 1 construction continues. Improvements to West Avenue have been completed between Osceola Street and Minneola Avenue, and work is being done between Minneola Avenue and Montrose Street.
