City of Coral Gables Services & Facilities to Close on Thursday, October 6
In anticipation of the severe weather expected tomorrow around our area, all City of Coral Gables non-essential departments will be closed on Thursday, October 6.
  • All non-essential City facilities and services will be closed all day on Thursday, October 6.
  • All essential public safety personnel will continue their operations.
  • Opening of City services on Friday, October 7 is to be determined.
  • The Coral Gables Trolley service will be suspended on Thursday, October 6. The Trolley service will follow the Metrobus schedule for Friday.
  • All Parks facilities, including the Adult Activity Center, will be closed on Thursday, October 6.
  • There will be no recycling collection service on Thursday, October 6 and possibly Friday, October 7, depending on the weather.  
  • If you have a scheduled trash and garbage pickup on Thursday, October 6, the City will have limited service and only until weather permits it. Please do not place any additional trash items on the swale as City crews may not have the time to collect them.
  • The Gables Gallery Night scheduled for Friday, October 7 has been cancelled.
  • The Dr. William M. Schiff Art Show scheduled for Friday, October 7, at 6 p.m. will be rescheduled.
  • All other planned City sponsored or supported events are postponed until further notice.
