MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, and four (4) years of related work experience. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be accepted on a year-for-year basis. The total qualifying equivalent combination is eight (8) years.

JOB SUMMARY

The City Manager oversees all City affairs assigned to the Manager by charter, ordinance or directive. Additionally, the incumbent manages programs and services provided by the City's operating staff departments and divisions including: Public Works, Parks and Recreation, Police and Fire, General Government, Finance, Library, and Economic Development.

The City of Duncanville had a busy week, with 77 building inspections, 8 health inspections, and 26 rental inspections completed, along with more than $24,000 in fees collected. City staff supported community safety and engagement through fire and police training, library programs for all ages, parks and recreation events like the Easter Eggstravaganza and Women’s History Month celebration, and ongoing economic development and public works projects.
