The Duncanville Police Department is excited to announce its upcoming Police Officer Entrance Exam scheduled for Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 8:00 AM at the Duncanville Library, 201 James Collins, Duncanville, TX 75116.


This exam is a critical step for individuals interested in joining one of North Texas' most dedicated law enforcement teams. The department is seeking qualified, motivated, and community-focused individuals to serve and protect the residents of Duncanville.

This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to build a career in law enforcement and make a meaningful impact in our community. We encourage all eligible applicants to take the first step and register for the entrance exam.

Who Can Apply?


The department is accepting applications from both entry-level candidates and experienced officers. No prior law enforcement experience is required, as training will be provided for new recruits. Certified officers are eligible for additional incentive pay and sign-on bonuses based on their experience.

Come join the Keep Duncanville Beautiful Board and the community in cleaning up Red Bird Park, located at 401 W. Red Bird Ln. The more litter we remove, the less ends up in storm runoff into our creeks, waterways, and eventually into the oceans. Clean-up supplies will be provided on site.

Photo: On Monday, February 17, 2025, Duncanville City Council and members of the community attended the Public Safety and Community Trust Town Hall hosted by City Management and the Duncanville Police Department. This event offered residents an opportunity to engage directly with City Manager Douglas E. Finch and Chief of Police Matt Stogner and get answers to important questions. 

Stay up-to-date on City activities and projects for Fiscal Year 2024-2025! This week, the City Manager updates the Duncanville Mayor and City Council on departmental activities and other significant items of interest. To keep the public better informed, the City is pleased to make this update available to Duncanville's residents, businesses, and stakeholders.

REMINDER: Place trash, recycling, brush, and bulk debris at the curb/alley no earlier than 12:01 AM and no later than 7:00 AM on scheduled collection days.


No construction materials will be picked up. These items must be disposed of by the contractor or taken to Skyline Landfill for a $35 fee.
