Residents learned more about the Texas property tax system, including important deadlines, the appeals process, and available exemptions. Attendees also had the opportunity to ask questions and receive information directly from representatives of the Dallas County Tax Office and the Dallas Central Appraisal District.

Weekly Update: February 13, 2026

Duncanville stayed busy this week with 60 building inspections completed, 44 permits issued, and continued progress on major infrastructure projects including emergency generator installation and park improvements. Public safety and emergency management teams advanced winter storm preparedness efforts, regional coordination, and ongoing training initiatives to strengthen community response. Residents can stay engaged by attending library and senior programs, supporting local networking events, and joining us for upcoming favorites like the Daddy Daughter Dance and Chess Club.

Help revitalize your property and strengthen Duncanville’s business corridors through the Duncanville Community and Economic Development Corporation’s Design Incentive Program. This initiative offers six grant opportunities for paint, signage, landscaping, façade improvements, pavement, and infrastructure to support exterior upgrades for small businesses and property owners. Applications will be accepted through April 1, 2026.

Interested applicants should visit our website to carefully review the program guidelines, which are required for a successful application, and follow the four steps to confirm eligibility and complete the appropriate online application for their project category. This is a valuable opportunity to invest in your property while helping Duncanville continue to grow and thrive.

Learn more about the program and apply by visiting: bit.ly/designincentivegrants.
