WARMING CENTERS

Duncanville Warming Center

The Duncanville Recreation Center (201 James Collins Blvd., Duncanville, TX 75116) will be open as a warming center on Monday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This location is not available for overnight stays and is limited to a designated area for residents to remain warm. No food or beverages will be provided—please bring your own.


DeSoto 24-Hour Warming Center

The DeSoto Parks and Recreation Center (211 E. Pleasant Run Rd.) will operate as a 24-hour warming center beginning Saturday, January 24 at 6:00 a.m. through Monday, January 26 at 10:00 p.m. The warming center is open to Best Southwest residents. No animals are allowed inside; however, Tri-City Animal Shelter & Adoption Center will provide a heated animal trailer outside the warming center. No bedding or food will be provided, so please bring your own bedding and food.


Please share this information with anyone who may need it, and plan ahead by bringing any essentials you’ll need while you’re there.

REPUBLIC SERVICES


Republic Services has notified the City that it will suspend trash and bulk collection services on Monday, January 26, due to expected road conditions.

On Friday, January 16, 2026, the Duncanville Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Celebrate Duncanville. This tradition brings together members of the community to celebrate the previous year's accomplishments, recognize notable figures in our community, and watch the debut of the Mayor's State of the City.
