SALARY RANGE

$109,935.47 - $150,383.43


MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field, and four (4) years of related work experience. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be accepted on a year-for-year basis. The total qualifying equivalent combination is eight (8) years.

JOB SUMMARY

The City Manager oversees all City affairs assigned to the Manager by charter, ordinance or directive. Additionally, the incumbent manages programs and services provided by the City's operating staff departments and divisions including: Public Works, Parks and Recreation, Police and Fire, General Government, Finance, Library, and Economic Development.

High School Diploma or GED and 1-year experience in maintenance and/or construction in water utilities, or a closely related field preferred.

Volunteers will help remove debris from streets and sidewalks while connecting with City departments working to keep Duncanville clean, safe, and informed.


Stop by and visit with Planning & Zoning to learn about the Comprehensive Plan rollout, connect with Neighborhood Services, Public Works (Stormwater and Sanitation), and engage with our Police Department’s community outreach team. You can also sign up to receive a tree during our Texas Arbor Day giveaway this November.

Duncanville departments remained busy this week, with 91 building inspections, 9 health inspections, and 22 rental inspections identifying needed safety upgrades, alongside $31,701 in collected fees and active fire, police, and public works operations across the city. Residents can also get involved through Boards and Commissions, enjoy programs at the Fieldhouse, Library, and Parks & Recreation, explore economic development projects, and learn about job openings and upcoming community events.
