Holiday Grease Roundup

Facilities for Recycling / Instalaciones para reciclaje

City of Duncanville Service Center

330 Shady Trail Drive, Duncanville, TX 75137

Collection Hours / Horario de Recolección

The service center is accepting drop-off

Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM

The 2024–2025 Holiday Grease Roundup in North Texas will occur from November 18, 2024, to January 10, 2025. Residents can drop off used cooking oil at 330 Shady Trail Drive, Duncanville, TX 75137, in the front lobby of the Service Center from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Duncanville will collect grease not only from November 18, 2024, to January 10, 2025, but also year-round. The service is free for Duncanville residents.

The Holiday Grease Roundup is a partnership between the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG), the Wastewater and Treatment Education Roundtable (WATER), and other area cities. The event's goal is to protect the environment and sewer systems by recycling used cooking oil and grease into biodiesel or biogas. This reduces landfill waste and creates a clean, green alternative fuel.

Pouring used cooking oil or grease down the drain can cause sewage to overflow into homes, streets, and waterways. This can be costly and inconvenient for both residents and municipalities.
