DuPage County Vaccine Registration
The DuPage County Health Department (DCHD) is currently offering appointments to individuals who meet Phase 1a (healthcare personnel), Phase 1b (persons 65 years and older, frontline essential workers), or Phase 1b+ (persons 16-64 years with comorbidities, underlying conditions, or disabilities and other identified essential workers).

Sign up for the DCHD COVID-19 vaccine registration list at dupagecountyhealth.qualtrics.com or call (630) 682-7400 if assistance is needed with registration. Anyone concerned about their registration status should call DCHD at (630) 682-7400. Residents are encouraged to explore all options to access vaccine, sign-up on mulitple lists, and take advantage of the soonest appointment opportunity available.

  • Contact your primary care provider or local retail pharmacy to check for availability.
  • The State of Illinois has created a vaccine locator map with all the approved vaccine providers: coronavirus.illinois.gov/s/vaccination-location
  • Take the first available appointment at whichever location you can.
  • Know that demand far exceeds supply currently and it may take several weeks to get an appointment.

NEW! WaterSmart will soon begin sending out Leak Alerts by USPS mail to residents whose meters are recording a large use and to those who have continual use due to a possible leak.
City of Elmhurst Receives AAA Bond Rating Standard and Poor's (S&P) Global Ratings assigned its AAA long-term rating to Elmhurst, IL's $9.61 million series 2021 general obligation (GO) bonds. The city will use bond proceeds for storm water capital projects and to refund the series 2012 GO bonds, for interest savings. At the same time, S&P Global Ratings affirmed its AAA rating on the city's previously issued GO bonds. The City of Elmhurst received its first AAA rating in December, 2013 and has maintained it for seven years in a row. More info...
April is National Distracted Driving Awareness Month, and the Elmhurst Police Department is partnering with the Illinois Department of Transportation, the Illinois State Police, and numerous local law enforcement agencies throughout the State of Illinois to remind motorists to avoid using their phones while driving. Yard Waste Collection and Brush Collection Resumes April 1st
Yard waste is collected from the week of April 1 through the week of November 30 when two free bundles of brush will be picked up each week and don't require a sticker. 

Organic Waste Collection Resumes April 1st The City offers residents an opt-in organic waste collection program. Residents have the option to rent a 65-gallon organic waste toter from Republic Services at an initial cost of $17.50 per month. The toter can be used for leaves, grass and other organic waste (including fruits, vegetables, meat, etc.) as listed below. The organics material will be taken to a composting facility and will not be landfilled. There is no need to purchase yard waste stickers for the toter each week. Please follow this link for a list of acceptable items.

To utilize this service, contact Republic Services directly at 708-345-7050. The resident will be billed directly by Republic Services for this program.

Sign up for Elmhurst Connect! Elmhurst Connect is an online and mobile reporting system for the City of Elmhurst. The community can use this service to easily identify issues and report them directly to the City of Elmhurst. There are a wide variety of report types available through this system. As always, if the issue you are reporting is a public safety emergency, please call 9-1-1 or for other issues that require immediate attention please call the City’s 24/7 phone line, 630-530-3050.

REMINDER! It is against local laws to ride your bike in the Central Business District. Signs will be placed throughout City Centre where bike riders enter into the area. Please walk your bike through the shopping district for everyone's safety.
