20th Annual Gecko Fest | Website

Gulfport invites you to the 20th Annual Gecko Fest, celebrating the end of summer with its largest festival of the year, honoring this waterfront village’s unofficial mascot and favorite reptile, the Gecko!
Parking and admission to Gecko Fest is complimentary and the event is pet and family-friendly.
The City’s Special Event Trolley will be looping the offsite parking locations during Gecko Fest at 12 p.m.
Beach Boulevard from 28th Avenue South to Shore Boulevard will close at 5 a.m. on Saturday, September 4th and remain closed for the duration of the event. Beach Boulevard will reopen after the conclusion of the event Saturday evening.
The City of Gulfport Casino Dock will be temporarily closed on Saturday, September 4th at 7 a.m. for a City sponsored fireworks display. Read full press release here.
The Williams Pier will be closed on Friday, September 3, 2021 at 9 a.m. and remain closed until the Casino dock opens. The Casino dock will reopen on Sunday, September 5th, 2021 at 7 a.m.

Wood Ibis Park is a 4-acre park located along 58th St. S. at approximately 28th Ave. S. The most distinguishing feature of the park is the lake. With native aquatic plantings and a fountain to keep the water aerated, the park has become a favorite location for small bunnies, wading birds and a variety of ducks. | | |

Pre-registrations are currently being accepted for the 2021-2022 VPK Program. VPK is FREE for children who live in Florida and who turn 4 years of age by September 1st. Parents must apply with the Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas, Inc. and receive a Certificate of Eligibility to attend the program.

Any Gulfport residents 55 & older or residents with a disability can take advantage of GEMS door to door service for a yearly membership of $70 plus $2 per ride. For more information, call 893-2242.
