Old Alabama Trail & Bike Lane
City staff marked the Old Alabama Road Trail & Bike Lane project's completion with a ribbon cutting ceremony in April.
The project included a trail along Old Alabama Road from Autrey Mill Road to Spruill Road. It also included the addition of a four-foot bike lane along the roadway and a right-turn lane for motorists turning from Spruill Road onto Old Alabama Road.

Barnwell Road at Holcomb Bridge Road
The Barnwell Road at Holcomb Bridge Road intersection improvement project is now complete! City staff marked the project’s completion in April.
The project included the addition of turn lanes, and the reshaping and regrading of the intersection to help traffic flow. It enhances pedestrian connectivity with the new pedestrian bridge along Barnwell Road, and new sidewalk and designated crosswalk areas at the intersection.

Jones Bridge Road Widening (Waters Road to State Bridge Road)
Crews continue construction of the retaining walls and concrete has been poured for sidewalk in several areas along the project route. All Sawnee EMC utilities have been relocated from Waters Road to Buice Road, and additional utility providers have started their relocations. Additional storm drain lines will be installed and curb, gutter, and sections of sidewalk will continue to be poured along the project route.

Buice Road Sidewalk
The underground storm water system has been installed. Crews are forming and pouring new curb and gutter as well as pouring some of the new sidewalk near the Doublegate neighborhood entrance.
