City of Long Beach Business Brief 3.5.21
Welcome to the Economic Development Department's Business Brief! We are continuing to ensure you are updated on the latest business resources and news.
Women's History Month
This month we recognize, celebrate and honor women’s successes and contributions to our society. We pay tribute to all the women past and present who have inspired our individual lives and shaped our world. In honor of this important month, we celebrate living legend Billie Jean King. Born in Long Beach, California, the city honored her with a beautiful new library in 2019. She's the only Long Beach resident to have been awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom. In addition to her legendary tennis career, she's also celebrated as a pioneer for equality and social justice. Enjoy a short video by Padnettv about the opening of the Billie Jean King Main Library here.
