Any violation of the provisions of this Order may subject an operator, business entity, or organization to the closure of the establishment for a period of at least 24 hours, or through the duration of the State of Emergency.

Reminder, the citywide curfew has been extended for New Year’s Eve until 1 a.m. on January 1, 2021.

COVID-19 Testing
Drive-thru and walk-up COVID-19 testing continues on 17 Street and Convention Center Drive.

We encourage you to pre-register for the walk-up site by clicking here or make your appointment for the drive-thru site here.

Visit our 'Testing' tab to view detailed testing information. Walk-up testing will be open as regular today, December 31 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and closed on New Year's Day.

South Beach Food Distribution
Commissioner David Richardson's office will host their weekly food distribution in South Beach on Saturday, January 2.

The food distribution is on a first come, first serve basis while supplies last. Please remain in your car and open the trunk when it's your turn in line.

Healthy Together App
Floridians are working to slow the spread of COVID-19. We can work together to protect our family members, friends, health workers and our communities. The Healthy Together app delivers your results, assesses symptoms for positive cases, provides self service contact tracing, allows you to view latest trends and what to do after you've been tested for COVID-19.

Users own their data and can delete the data at any time. The use of your data is limited to COVID-19 response efforts. No location data will be ever collected and stored.
General City Updates
North Beach CRA Charrette
Join the City of Miami Beach for a public design charrette on the North Beach Community Redevelopment Agency Plan beginning January 11 - 15, 2021.

The goal is to plan for the future of the North Beach CRA. A charrette is rapid, intensive and includes a series of creative work sessions between the public and the design team to produce a plan for the future. Click here to view the upcoming sessions and register today!
Christmas Tree Disposal
After the holidays, your natural trees can be dropped off at our Green Waste Facility located at 2800 Meridian Avenue.

Residents can also place their trees at the curb on their regular garbage pick-up days. The tree must be cut to 4 feet in length. If you're unable to cut it for regular pick-up or transport it to the Green Waste Facility, you can schedule a bulk waste pick-up with Waste Connections by calling 786.515.2726.

Pre-K Program
The City of Miami Beach is launching a Prekindergarten (Pre-K) Pilot Program for the 2021-2022 School year that will provide eligible Miami Beach Families with a Pre-K stipend of $2,700.

The application deadline is approaching! Please submit your application by January 4, 2021.

Fire Cadets
Are your teens interested in a career as a firefighter? The Miami Beach Fire and Parks & Recreation departments have teamed up for the new Fire Cadet program!

Coursework includes a physical and academic portion with hands-on training in first aid, fire prevention and firefighting skills.

The program begins on January 17, 2021 through May 15, 2021 and is open the Miami Beach high school students in grades 9 - 12.

Classes will be held on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration fee is $150 with a monthly $20 fee. Register now at register.miamibeachparks.com.
2021 Youth Music Festival
Auditions are open for the fifth annual Miami Beach Youth Music Festival! The festival will take place at the North Beach Bandshell on Saturday, March 13, 2021. Those aged 18 years and younger, and bands or individuals that perform live music of any genre, including rock, jazz, Latin, electronic, folk, classical, funk and spoken word are welcome to audition.

Participants must be able to perform live and play a musical instrument; recorded music is not allowed. Additionally, at least one individual must also be a Miami Beach resident or attend a Miami Beach school.
 
Participant applications can now be found at www.miamibeach.rocks. The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. on January 31, 2021. All applicants must adhere to CDC guidelines for gatherings, practice social distance and mask wearing. More information regarding recommended precautions can be found on the festival website.
Parks & Rec Corner
Get your little ones moving with classes and programs offered by the Miami Beach Parks and Recreation Department.

All year long, dance classes for all ages are being offered by Epic Dance Center at the North Shore Park Youth Center, register today at epicenterprisesfl.com.

The Playtime Program will resume on January 11, 2021 for Miami Beach residents only. The program will operate Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for 3 to 4 year olds at South Pointe Park and North Shore Park. Registration begins on January 4 at 10 a.m..
