Highway 1 is fully open this morning between Monterey and San Luis Obispo, including Big Sur, following a month long shutdown due to the Dolan Fire. Please drive safety and be aware of Caltrans and emergency responders on the highway. The wildfire is now 46% contained and most firefighting activity continues inland. The temporary and limited closures of San Carlos and McAbee beaches have expired today. Thank you for continuing to keep a six foot distance between yourself and other beach users, and wear a face covering when unable to keep a social distance.
