Monterey County Convention & Visitors Bureau, in partnership with Arts Council for Monterey County, has commissioned local artists to create inspirational Monterey County moments that will be printed on reusable masks. There's still time to vote for your favorite Monterey Moment by local artists - contest ends tonight 10/23 at midnight, so vote now! Winners will be printed on reusable masks that will be given away for FREE at select Monterey County locations.
Fire Safe Council for Monterey County Offers "Wildfire and You" Preparedness Workshops Online
2020 has been an unprecedented year for wildfires in California. It's important that we all be prepared. The Fire Safe Council for Monterey County developed a FREE online workshop, WILDFIRE & YOU, that you can take at any time to help protect your life and home in event of wildfires https://firesafemonterey.org/workshops.html
COVID-19 - Reopening our County and Economy Safely
Monterey County is in the purple tier - the highest and most restricted level based on the California Blueprint for a Safer Economy. The chart below shows the positivity rates for County's to qualify for each tier. If we all follow the recipe we can move through the tiers sooner than later, and reopen our economy safely.

Construction Projects Continue Throughout Monterey
Here's another Neighborhood Improvement Program Project (NCIP) in the final stages of completion. This one (photo above) is the intersection of Casa Verde, Helvic, and Portola. The new bulb-out sidewalks greatly improves the crosswalk safety for the students and families at Bay View Academy Lower Campus. See Construction this Week news anytime on the web:
