Monterey County Convention & Visitors Bureau Announce Winning Art to be Printed on Masks
Monterey County Convention & Visitors Bureau, in partnership with Arts Council for Monterey County, commissioned local artists to create inspirational Monterey County moments that will be printed on reusable masks. And the winner is...Jose Ortiz's Salinas Valley Farmworkers - inspired by the pride his mother had working as part of the ground lettuce crews in Salinas. Monterey Regional Stormwater & Education Alliance Trash Avengers

They picked up 25 pounds of trash composed largely of small plastics and cigarette filters. The residents (both topside and underwater) say thank YOU! Space Available Now for November! Family and Senior Drive Thru Produce Distribution.
Reservations are available for the November 2020 Senior and Family Produce Distributions offered by the City of Monterey Recreation and the Food Bank for Monterey County. Due to COVID-19, this is a contact-less drive thru program and reservations are required. Mondays, November 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30, 10:00am – 1:00pm (by appointment/reservation only; every half hour) Dennis the Menace Parking Lot, 777 Pearl St. Monterey.
