Thanksgiving Digital Postcards for Us to Share
The City of Monterey will introduce a fun and important Thanksgiving digital postcard campaign and we want you to participate! Watch for details announced tomorrow.
Zoom is lifting its 40-minute time limit on Thanksgiving day. Normally, free Zoom meetings are allowed a maximum of 40 minutes before they need to be restarted. However, the company announced it will remove the limit on Thanksgiving day. Perfect way for us to keep our bubble during COVID-19. ECHO Fair Housing Upcoming Webinars - Tomorrow or Dec. 18
The ECHO Fair Housing Office is a community partner with the City of Monterey. They are holding two upcoming webinars on prohibitions on evictions and tenant protections. They can provide all the information needed to those struggling to pay rent especially due to the pandemic. Please visit to register and for more information.
Emergency Rental Assistance Program Continues
The City of Monterey Emergency Rental Assistance Program continues and there's still time to apply. The program is designed to mitigate potential homelessness and displacement of existing Monterey residents and workers who are experiencing a decrease in household income due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and thus, unable to pay their rent. The City may provide up to a maximum of six (6) months of rental assistance. Visit for all the details including the application.

Used Book Grab Bag Sale, Sat., Nov 21
Used Book Grab Bag Sale, Sat, Nov 21st, 11 AM -2 PM (Weather permitting. They will be there if it’s cold but not if it rains!) Back patio of the Monterey Public Library
How it works:
  • Put on your face-covering and come to the Library’s back patio.
  • They will have your $10 grab bag(s) waiting for you!
  • Cash or check only. No credit card payments will be accepted.
  • Careful health protocols will be observed.
  • Enjoy “new-to-you” books – or share them with friends, family, and neighbors!
