California COVID-19 Positive Cases at the Highest in the Nation, and at a Critical Level Locally
According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), California now has the worst surge in the U.S. with 98 cases per 100,000 people. Monterey County cities are creating part of this alarming statistic.
Starting today, we will bring you daily COVID-19 positive case numbers for the 93940 zip code, and include the current case load at the Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula (CHOMP):
Together, we really can change course and defeat the coronavirus. The sooner we do, the fewer people impacted, and the quicker the economy will recover. Please do your part to stop the surge.
Family and Senior Drive Thru Produce Distribution

Reservations are available for the January 2021 Senior and Family Produce Distributions offered by the City of Monterey Recreation and the Food Bank for Monterey County. Due to COVID-19, this is a contact-less drive thru program and reservations are required.
Mondays, January 4, 11 and 25 (No distribution Jan. 18)
10:00am – 1:00pm (by appointment/reservation only; every half hour)
