More Waves for Wildlife Wednesday
Watching the beautiful waves doesn't get old. Each are unique and marvelous. A good distraction right now. The National Weather Service has issued a High Surf Advisory through tomorrow afternoon for the entire coastline of the Bay Area and Central Coast. An approaching swell could produce waves of 20-30 feet. The water is very cold and dangerous this week, so please enjoy the views from a distance. Photo credit via Instagram: @hiimjoe88
MPUSD School Nurse Gets Her First Shot - Vaccinate ALL 58
Marina community school nurse Melanie Allen was one of the first Monterey Peninsula Unified School District (MPUSD) employees to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Allen received her first shot on Monday from the Monterey County Health Department because she volunteered to administer vaccines for the department.

Melanie shared, "I woke the next morning after the shot, felt a little soreness at the injection site - similar to a flu shot - and went on my regular morning jog, very happy and relieved to get my first dose of the vaccine!"
First reported by the Monterey County Herald, read the full article...

Don't forget, tomorrow at 5:30 PM is the County's Town Hall event about the vaccine rollout - don't miss it! Get all the details at https://www.co.monterey.ca.us/Home/Components/Calendar/Event/18157/6030 - click the flyer below to join the webinar - and the passcode = 714157.
