Thanks to @MBayWhaleWatch for sharing this amazing underwater photo by Tory Kallman. This Orca, seen with her pod just a couple of days ago in Monterey Bay, is holding a sea nettle (jelly) in her mouth.
Latest News About Vaccinations
News on several fronts about Covid-19 vaccinations were just announced:
  1. The Monterey County Health Department presented new Covid-19 vaccination guidelines. (see details in graphic above) Despite that the 93940 zip code is NOT part of this 65+ age group expansion, it still means we are getting closer to getting there, and this is great news because we need the whole County vaccinated.
  2. The federal government provided this FACT SHEET: President Biden Announces Increased Vaccine Supply, Initial Launch of the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program, and Expansion of FEMA Reimbursement to States
  3. Veterans 75 and over can get vaccinated in Marina on February 13 - call (650) 496-2535 or visit https://www.paloalto.va.gov/services/covid-19-vaccines.asp
