Local update on COVID-19 & more
March 19, 2021
Fun Fact Friday
Today we celebrate another notable woman in local history, Mayo Hayes O'Donnell - historian and journalist. According to her obituary, Her tireless half-century of work to preserve the history of Monterey earned her the title “Mrs. History”. There's a library on Van Buren Street named after her. MHOD is a non circulating research library providing an extensive collection of books, photographs, scrap books, and other historical artifacts pertaining to Monterey, Monterey County, and surrounding counties.
