"Tree of Hearts" inspiring messages of kindness
If you feel like you need a little inspiration and positivity, visit the City's "Tree of Hearts" display. We've heard numerous stories from people who are finding their visit a peaceful and pleasant part of their day. The wooden hearts swaying in the breeze make beautiful wind chime sounds that add to the experience. Thank you to those spreading the kindness!
So happy to see Monterey Sports Center customers at our reopening!

Today is "World Water Day" and "International Day of the Seal"
About 71% of the Earth's surface is water-covered, and the ocean holds about 96.5% of all Earth's water. We are guessing it's no coincidence that today we celebrate World Water Day and the International Day of the Seal on the same day. Celebrate today and everyday to encourage responsible stewardship of this precious resource. As a community, we know the importance of clean oceans, not only for us humans, but for all the other inhabitants as well. We all have a part to play in keeping our water clean and safe. We love seeing these curious animals near Fisherman's Wharf and along the Monterey Bay. Remember to keep your distance, especially as seal pupping season gets underway. Photo credit: Morgan Rector via Instagram
