Monday Motivation - Don't wait to sign your kids up for summer camps!
Monterey Recreation is offering some fun summer opportunities your kids won't want to miss! There's a Play It Safe Summer Camp Program for 5 -10 year olds with a special 7-week package price of $475 for Monterey residents, and $550 other city residents! Also just added to the list of choices - a Youth Baseball/Softball Camp -

  • Beach Volleyball Camp (ages 12-16 yrs.)
  • Challenger British Soccer Camp (ages 7-13 yrs.)
  • Basketball Camp (ages 7-13 yrs.)
  • Youth Flag Football Camp (ages 7-13 yrs.)
  • NEW! - Youth Baseball/Softball Camp (ages 5-10 yrs.)

Register online 24/7 at monterey.org/rec. In-person registration is limited. Programs will be modified and follow strict COVID-19 precautions including daily health screenings, face masks and enhanced cleaning and disinfecting. Let's get the kids outside for some summer fun!
Also from Monterey Recreation, Summer Adult Softball Leagues now open for registration through May 21. The 10-week regular season is set to begin on May 31 and will run until playoffs ending August 16. If you have a team planning on playing this summer, please don't wait to sign up as the deadline to register is right around the corner.

Co-ed Socko Softball Leagues and Men's Slow Pitch Leagues: Games will be played Monday-Friday evenings from 6:00-10:00pm at Jacks or Sollecito Ballparks.

Registration Deadline: Friday, May 21 at 4:00pm
Team Fee: $690        Monterey Team Fee: $530
*Non-resident Fees will be assessed if not accompanied by a team roster consisting of 10 active City of Monterey residents.

FDA today approves Pfizer vaccine for 12 - 15 year olds
Today, FDA expanded the EUA for the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine for the prevention of COVID-19 to include adolescents 12-15 years of age.
