The weekend is there!
Thanks to High Orbit Media via Instagram @HighOrbitMedia for that #FridayFeeling photo and a great caption too. "OMG, the weekend! Right there!" "It's right there!" You'll never know what you'll see in Monterey Bay. I actually have no idea what they were pointing at. It was most likely a seagull or a blue whale.

Or perhaps an otter or sea lion? Whatever they saw, it was a great day to be out on the bay..and the weekend is right there!
National Weather Service drought report
We may be in the orange and nearing the yellow tier with regards to Covid-19, but we are in the red tier - meaning extreme drought conditions - according to the latest update from the National Weather Service.
Speaking of climate, California Climate Action Corps is looking for individuals who want to help by serving as AmeriCorps Fellows this summer with organizations working on climate action in their communities. Apply at http://ClimateActionCorps.ca.gov

Current mask guidelines - CDC updated guidelines, now CDPH has to adopt them based on California Covid-19 numbers
Vaccinated? Don't drop your mask yet. Monterey County is still under State masking guidelines. Vaccinated people still need to wear a mask indoors when in the community. Check out the guidelines and watch for updates.
Vaccination 4-1-1
Montage Health Vaccine Clinics for ages 12 and older start on Mon., May 17. Appointments are now available for the these clinics next week. To make an appointment and to see the Montage Health vaccine clinic dates, locations, and times, visit chomp.org/vaccine.
Please choose an appointment for the Pfizer vaccine for those ages 12-17. Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please bring a photo ID with proof of residency and age.
