Downtown Farmer's Market Reopens! Monterey Fire to Offer Free COVID-19 Vaccines at the Market on Tuesday, May 25
Great news! The Old Monterey Marketplace and Farmer's Market is returning to Alvarado Street on Tuesday, May 25 at 4 p.m.! It's beginning with a limited farmer's market for the first couple of weeks, featuring local produce and some crafts, as the market works its way towards a full reopening on June 15. 

The market will take place rain or shine every Tuesday, 4-8 p.m. For the safety of vendors and at-risk individuals, all shoppers must continue to wear a mask over their nose and mouth and maintain social distance. At this time, no sales are allowed to individuals not wearing a face covering. There will be hand sanitizer stations placed throughout the market. 

Also on May 25 at the Farmer's Market, 4-6 p.m., the Monterey Fire Department will offer free "one-and-done" Johnson & Johnson vaccines at the market. No appointment necessary - just show up! [Information and photos courtesy of Old Monterey Business Association]
Four NEW & FREE COVID-19 Testing Sites Opening in Monterey County!
In partnership with the Monterey County Health Department, Monterey Peninsula Chamber of Commerce, Salinas Valley Chamber of Commerce and Hartnell College, Virus Geeks (a COVID testing service) is offering FREE COVID-19 testing in Monterey County.

These are walk-thru or walk-up sites. No appointment necessary.
· COST: FREE, insurance not required.
· SERVICES: Walk in or walk-up.
· TEST: Self-administered. This is a NOSE Swab test. Someone will be able to assist you at each site to ensure you are testing properly.

· Monterey Regional Airport: M-F: (9am – 4:30pm) – Test site is located at the short-term parking lot to the RIGHT of the airport entrance.
· Monterey Chamber of Commerce: M-F: (9am – 4:00pm) – Location: 353 Camino El Estero, Monterey.

· Hartnell College – 411 Central Ave: M-F: (9am – 4:00pm) – Test site is located at the Hartnell Western Stage Parking Lot #4 (right in front of Building “J”).

· Grocery Outlet –1523 Fremont Blve: M-F: (9am – 4:30pm) – Test site is at the LEFT of the entrance).

Vaccination 4-1-1
Montage Health is offering one more vaccine clinic for ages 12+ this weekend. Make an appointment for the Saturday, May 22 Vaccine Clinic in Seaside at Please choose an appointment for the Pfizer vaccine for those ages 12-17. Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please bring a photo ID with proof of residency and age. The clinic will take place at the Boys and Girls Club in Seaside, 1332 La Salle Avenue, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
