Good afternoon Morgan Hill community.
This weekend the City received a report from a City employee who has been in close proximity to a person that has just tested positive for COVID-19. As City employees that are providing essential City services continue to work at various City facilities through the current emergency the City anticipates more contacts will occur. In response to this, and any future reports, the City will have deep cleaning performed at the various City facilities starting with City Hall this weekend.
The City Hall building will be deep cleaned in compliance with the CDC’s recommendations for Covid-19. This deep cleaning will be performed today, Sunday, March 22 to allow the limited number of essential City employees working out of the building to return on Monday, March 23. Those who live in the City Hall neighborhood will likely notice contract workers in protective suits.
We are sharing this with the community in full transparency.
At this time, no City of Morgan Hill employees have tested positive for Covid-19.
We continue to stress how important it is for all community members to follow the State and County orders to shelter in place.
