Your Morgan Hill Weekly 411
Friday, March 19, 2021
Hello Morgan Hill Community!
Hello Spring! Saturday, March 20th, is the first day of spring. Interested in planting a spring garden? Herb and vegetable gardens are perfect for planting in the spring.
As we emerge from our winter hibernation, it is also the perfect time for spring cleaning. Did you know that the tradition of spring cleaning dates back centuries and is an annual ritual in many cultures and religions? If the idea of cleaning is not so appealing, it turns out that there are many things still to celebrate in March.

"Do 1 Thing" Emergency Preparedness Campaign
March's Focus: Sheltering
Do 1 Thing” is a 12-month program that makes it easy to prepare yourself, your family, and our community for emergencies and disasters because preparedness tasks are broken down into small, manageable steps. Each month Morgan Hill's Office of Emergency Services will release a new educational YouTube video to help you complete the program.

The March video below focuses on Sheltering

THE GOAL: Know how to respond safely when instructions are given to evacuate or take shelter. In a disaster, you may be asked to either evacuate or shelter-in-place. In the pressure of an emergency, it can be difficult to focus on what to do first. With practice, you, your family, and the community will be more comfortable taking the right steps when the emergency actually happens.
