Good Day Morgan Hill!
For many this past weekend was longer, with Monday designated as a federal holiday celebrating the life and achievements of Martin Luther King, Jr. We hope you enjoyed the extra time off, if you had it!
Perhaps improving fitness in the new year is on your mind?
Following a successful ribbon cutting ceremony earlier this month, the City of Morgan Hill and our partners welcome you to a new accessible fitness course at Galvan Park now open to the public! See what equipment is available to help you reach your goals! Galvan Park is located on West Main and Hale Avenues.
Or, perhaps, community service is part of your 2020 resolutions list? Serving on one of the City's Commissions may be a good option for you. It is a wonderful way to participate and engage in our local Morgan Hill government. Find out more information about each commission on the City's
web site
.
Make it a great week ahead! We look forward to your ongoing engagement and participation in all aspects of community life and local government.

Engage Morgan Hill
is a community conversation about services, funding and priorities. It is a year-long community engagement process that will take us right through the next next two year budget development and adoption for fiscal years 2020-21 and 2021-22.
Engage Morgan Hill Community Advisory Group (CAG) has completed several meetings and tasks since its inception earlier this year. January 2020 will start a new phase as the group's role and involvement in the upcoming budget development process expands. You can find all the
information for each previous meeting
on the City's web pages dedicated to Engage Morgan Hill, or sit in on any upcoming meeting.

Census 2020 - April 1 is "Census Day"
Residents will begin to see more regional, state and national information about the upcoming Census. Data is collected online, by phone, mail, and in person, mainly in March and April. Couple important facts to remember:
- Any household that does not respond by April 30 can expect a U.S. Census Bureau employee to knock on your door between May-July. Data will be collected in person at your home, and the U.S. Census Bureau employee will clearly identify himself or herself with formal identification.
- All data collected through any method is 100% confidential, and no personal information is ever passed on to immigration officials, law enforcement, or social services. Data results are anonymous and rolled up into an aggregate count.
For an overview of what to expect, visit the City's
web page
dedicated to Census 2020.
Temporary jobs - flexible hours, weekly pay, training - are available now, but applications are accepted only through January 31.
