Happy Memorial Day Weekend Morgan Hill!
In the midst of enjoying the holiday weekend, we encourage everyone to pause and acknowledge the reason for this holiday which is to honor and remember all those who lost their lives serving our country in the United States Armed Forces. The City of Morgan Hill remembers in gratitude all those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.
This past week we held a very well attended community meeting on the proposed Morgan Hill Technology Park project. We sincerely thank all the many community members who attended this meeting. If you were unable to attend we encourage you to visit the
project page on the City website where you will find a link to the
video recording of the meeting, a link to the
PowerPoint presentation and other detailed information related to this proposed project.
On this past Wednesday, we kicked off
Engage Morgan Hill - A community conversation regarding services, funding and priorities.
It will be a year long community engagement process that will take us right through the next next two year budget development and adoption. We want to hear from you. We need your input as we plan for the future fiscal sustainability of Morgan Hill. We invite you to join the conversation..
View the video recording of the meeting.
Review the PowerPoint presentation. If you are interested in participating on the Engage Morgan Hill Community Advisory Group please
contact us today.
Tuesday, May 28th a special meeting of the Planning Commission will be held beginning at 1:00 P.M. for the public hearing regarding the development projects requesting residential development allotments under the City's voter approved growth control system known as the Residential Development Control System (RDCS).The reason for this early start time is due to the extremely long length of the meeting, often lasting into the evening. The meeting is live streamed and the video recording is available online after the meeting. You can
view the staff report online. To have a better understanding, we encourage you to review the
RDCS process, which is outlined on the city website.
Have a wonderful week ahead. As always, we look forward to your ongoing engagement and participation in all aspects of city government and community life here in Morgan Hill.

Morgan Hill Library Everbright Display
|
|
Santa Clara County Library District (SCCLD) has installed an Everbright wall display at the Morgan Hill Library. The high tech light wall is both educational and entertaining, inviting users to create images by adjusting each dial to whatever color they choose. With 476 dials on the 4 foot by 7.83-foot panel, the number of designs that can be created is nearly unlimited.
Everbright is also an excellent educational tool for young children taking their first steps, involving touching and manipulating objects with hands, seeing changes of color, and beginning to form patterns. The connection between the hand, eyes and the brain is critical to early literacy.
The wall is only here for May and June!

Current Watering Schedule
|
|
Water is always a precious resource in Morgan Hill and with this in mind, our permanent watering restrictions have been designed to best manage the City's potable water supply. These restrictions will help us avoid or minimize the effects of drought, climate change and the unreliability of the imported water infrastructure that serves the City of Morgan Hill.
