Your Morgan Hill Weekly 411
News for the Week of August 17, 2020
Hello Morgan Hill!

We are in the midst of a long duration heat wave, with highs in the hundreds in Morgan Hill through next Wednesday.

The Centennial Recreation Center lobby opened today as a Cooling Center for those who do not have air conditioning and need a place to cool off. All the details can be found at the following link: https://conta.cc/3apmeoW

Please remember to check on friends and loved ones who may be vulnerable during the excessive heat. Please check the County's website for heat safety tips and the location of other cooling centers.
Stay Updated on the Coronavirus and
Local Sheltering in Place
Decrease Your Exposure
Not many things about this pandemic are within our control, but there are a few things that we can control.

Each one of these actions decreases your exposure and decreases your odds of getting COVID-19.

All three combined provide
even better protection.

Stay 6 feet apart in breakrooms
In Santa Clara County, breakrooms are one of the main sources of transmission of COVID-19 at workplaces.

It is easy to let down our guard when we are eating lunch or taking a break, but we must not let that happen.

Always social distance when you are around someone you do not live with, and this includes coworkers.

Remember to:
  • Take breaks outdoors if possible
  • Don’t share food or drink
  • Stagger break times
  • Reconfigure break areas to ensure social distancing
Wear a Face Covering
People who work with the public are exposed to lots of people each day. These interactions put them and their families at risk. Protecting workers starts with the decisions we each make. Show your respect for the folks who are putting themselves at risk by wearing a face covering and keeping enough distance
