Curbside Pick-up (Pink Zones)

You may have noticed the pink signs throughout the downtown indicating reserved parking and wondered what the reserved parking was for.

The City has established curbside pick-up (Pink Zones) throughout downtown for safe, quick, and convenient pick up of food or other retail items from local businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. The parking spaces with Pink Zone signs are reserved for pick-up only.

Thank you for helping to support our downtown businesses by keeping these spaces free and available for pick-up.

Teen Leaders Receive Youth Action Project Grant to Fight Vaping

Morgan Hill’s Warriors Against Vaping and E-Cigarettes (WAVE) team recently received a Youth Action Project Grant from Breathe California and the Santa Clara County Public Health Department to create a campaign to increase teen awareness of the health dangers of vaping and tobacco use.

This grant, in the amount of $3,500, will enable WAVE to purchase promotional giveaway items and provide support for various activities within the awareness campaign. Plans for the campaign include hosting virtual anti-vaping/tobacco awareness events addressing the reality of peer pressure and a variety of social media and virtual challenges that promote healthy competition among teens to engage in anti-vaping/tobacco activities, with the ultimate goal of getting teens to pledge not to vape.

WAVE’s first virtual event will be held on:

  • Friday, January 15th, 6pm – 7pm and will be hosted through Zoom.

For more information and to reserve your spot please contact YAC Advisor, Chiquy Mejia at chiquy.mejia@mhcrc.com or to view the full article click here.

Mandatory Directive:
Capacity Limitations

There are new updates to the capacity limitations directive. To reduce the spread of COVID-19, businesses are required to close workplace kitchens and break rooms for eating, drinking, and for any gathering. These areas are particularly high-risk spaces because they tend to be small and/or poorly ventilated, and if people are able to eat and drink there, they have to remove their masks to do so.
