Your Morgan Hill Weekly 411
Week of July 6, 2020
Hello Morgan Hill!

Friday, July 3rd is a City holiday. All essential public safety services will continue, but other services will be unavailable, including our virtual call center.

We wish you a happy 4th of July weekend from a distance. Just like a firework, we must all be shining examples of safety by staying apart from each other to protect our health. Only gatherings with one other household are permitted because the virus thrives in groups of people. If you make plans with another family, wear face coverings and keep six feet away. We are seeing many cases result from social interactions, such as parties and BBQs.

Other options for marking the 4th include watching our beloved Freedom Fest activities online or having a private celebration with the people you live with. We must all make sacrifices on this day to keep our loved ones safe.
All Fireworks are Illegal In Morgan Hill.

We remind the community that all fireworks are illegal in Morgan Hill.

Please call 408.779.2101 to report fireworks in your neighborhood.

Let's all work together to ensure that our celebrations are free of fireworks this year.

The 15th Annual Youth Leadership Morgan Hill program will be virtual this year and will run from July 13 -15. It's not too late to register. For more information, please visit the Youth Action Council website or contact Chiquy Mejia .

Stay Updated on the Coronavirus and
Local Sheltering in Place
As we continue to preserve the progress we have made in case and hospitalization rates and improve our testing and tracing capability, we will be able to move toward opening even more sectors of the economy.

To get there, we need our residents to:

  • Wear a face covering. Californians are required to wear face coverings in public spaces - particularly indoors or when physical distancing is not possible.
  • Practice physical distancing. Six feet is a minimum. More is better.
  • Get tested. Visit sccfreetest.org for locations and guidance.
