Your Morgan Hill Weekly 411
Hello Morgan Hill!

Did you know that the odds of being born on a leap day, February 29th, are estimated to be one in 1,461? Happy Birthday to all the Leaplings!

Also right around the corner is the March 3, 2020, Presidential Primary Election. Santa Clara County is now under the Voter’s Choice Act, which means that everyone gets a ballot to complete and return postage-paid by mail, or you may place it in one of 99 conveniently located and secure drop-boxes. Voters who prefer to vote in person can still do so at any of the 110 Vote Centers that will be open throughout Santa Clara County. Check your voter ballot for times and locations near you.

The latest coronavirus updates and advice to stay healthy are available from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's dedicated web page, and The Santa Clara County Public Health Department's web page. The facts are changing rapidly, but please stay up to date from trusted resources!

Census 2020
April 1 is Census Day

When do most people get counted? Complete the Census by April 30.

The sooner you complete it, the better! As early as March 12 visit the Census Bureau website and fill out the survey online, in one of the 59 languages available. The Census Bureau has also created a how-to video that gives step-by-step instructions on how to complete the 2020 Census questionnaire online. First two languages listed are English and Spanish, followed by 60 other languages.

You can also respond by phone, by mail, or in person when a Census Bureau worker will visit your neighborhood door-to-door starting in mid-May.

Earlier this year the City earned a grant from the Silicon Valley Community Foundation for $34,000, which allows us to also focus efforts on reaching traditional hard to count segments of the Morgan Hill population. Good work Housing Team! Look for updated information on volunteer requests and census-related events very soon. Successfully obtaining grants is one of the ways the City is able to do more for the community without needing resources from the General Fund.
