Employee Spotlight
On October 11, 2019, the Solid Waste Department received a call from a resident who lives in the City. She was calling to give praise to one of our Solid Waste employees, Dayan Gonzalez. She said that her daughter had lost a gold necklace that has been passed down in her family, and she was very upset and crying. When Dayan Gonzalez went to pick up their trash, he noticed there was a gold necklace on the lid of their trash can. He went to their house and knocked on the door to ask if the trash container belonged to them. They replied that it was indeed their container, which is when Dayan Gonzalez showed them the gold necklace that he found. They were filled with relief and happiness. The City of Naples i
s very proud of the generous act of our City Solid Waste employee Dayan Gonzalez.
