STEPS TOWARDS REOPENING OCEANSIDE
On Monday, Governor Newsom cleared the way for some businesses to reopen at the end of the week, with County officials in agreement.

The Governor outlined a four-phase plan for slowly reopening the state. This week, we enter Stage 2: Gradually opening some "lower risk" workplaces with adaptations. These include some retail, manufacturing, some offices (when telework is not possible) and opening more public spaces. Transition to Stage 2 will occur through a statewide modification to the Stay-at-Home Order, which the Governor's Office will release on Thursday or Friday of this week.
On Tuesday, the San Diego County Board of Supervisors approved a Business Safety Framewor k to protect employees and customers. They ask that businesses complete a plan template to be ready. More specific guidelines are expected to be released by the State on Thursday.
TESTING INCREASING
COVID-19 testing has become more widely available in the County. Testing is available at local hospitals, medical groups, some community clinics and private labs. The state has also opened three testing sites –Escondido, El Cajon and Chula Vista – that are offering free testing by appointment with no referral needed. See below for information. Call 888-634-1123, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for an appointment. More info
