This position is open until filled.

Planned Water Outage

Plymouth Utilities will be completing valve replacement work at four locations along S Bruns Avenue. This work is necessary to maintain the City's water distribution system, as several existing valves have been identified as no longer functioning properly and need to be replaced.

The work is currently scheduled as follows:

Wednesday, November 11, 2026: Crews will excavate all four valve locations in preparation for replacement. This preparation is intended to minimize the amount of time water service is interrupted on Thursday. Please use caution around these work areas, as they will be barricaded overnight.

Thursday, November 12, 2026: Water will be shut off to allow crews to complete the valve replacement work.

The four locations include (see map on back page):

• Two valves at the intersection of S Bruns Avenue and Roberts Place.

• One valve near the intersection of S Bruns Avenue and Adrian Court.

• One valve near the intersection of S Bruns Avenue and Dewey Lane.

Temporary Water Service Interruption

Water service will need to be temporarily shut off on Thursday, November 12, 2026, while the valves are being replaced. The water shutoff is anticipated to begin at approximately 8:00 a.m.

Residents should plan accordingly and make any necessary preparations for the temporary interruption in water service. Water service will be restored as soon as the replacement work is completed and the system is ready to return to normal operation.

Please be aware that the schedule may be subject to change due to weather or unforeseen construction conditions. You will be notified if this occurs.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as Plymouth Utilities completes this work. If you have any questions regarding this project, please contact Plymouth Utilities at (920) 893-1471.

Police Update:

As the holidays approach and we all start Christmas shopping, so the scammers start adding to their holiday cheer at your expense. The following scams become more common around Christmas time:

1. Fake delivery notices or package alerts

Especially notices that “your package can’t be delivered, please call us”. If you didn’t expect a shipment, don’t reply. If you are expecting a shipment, verify with the shipper or seller before responding to a text or email.

2. Fake websites designed to look like your favorite on-line store

Amazon, eBay and other on-line retailers all report increased fraudulent websites trying to imitate their content. Verify the website and don’t click on pop-ups before ordering anything.

3. Fake Charities

These always increase around the holidays with scammers preying on our desire to help others. Choose the charity you want to donate to and contact them directly. Be wary of spontaneous emails, text messages and social media posts looking for help, especially if they try to pressure you or make it sound like there is a limited time to help.

4. Holiday offers on in demand items that are too good to be true

Once an item becomes hard to find at Christmas, you can bet someone will mysteriously find a lot of them to sell for top dollar.

5. Puppy scams

Many people consider adding pets at Christmas to their families. Unfortunately, many of the animals available through social media and websites are fake. Ask to see the puppy in person first. Look up the breeder on the American Kennel Club. Ask for puppy pictures with specific items in the photo (blue towel or orange chew toy). Google search the photos on the breeder’s website or social media and see how long the puppy has been for sale and on duplicate posts. Puppies don’t stay young for years! Finally, consider adopting from a shelter or organization in your area. This allows you to see the temperament of your new furry friend before adopting and helps provide homes to animals in need.
